With all the elegant toilets i have been exposed so far, imagine my surprise when i saw this in one of the train stations (Iseshi train station to be exact). I knew i have lost touch with my Asian roots when i was stumped, worried and nearly fell when i attempted to use this. Also something else occurred to me – how do women use this sort of toilet if they are having their periods? Things WILL get messy.
